[Announcement of Achievement] Jin Liguo and Zhu Jiamin were awarded the National Scholarship

In the National Scholarship selection, Jin Liguo and Zhu Jiamin, doctoral students from the Metal Functional Materials Research Group of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Tianjin University, have respectively received a prestigious national honor, the National Scholarship for the years 2023 and 2024.This is not only the fruit of their personal efforts but also a reflection of the collaborative progress of the research group. Let us together appreciate their outstanding achievements!

 

Personal Introduction:

Jin Liguo, a member of the Communist Party of China, is a doctoral student in the class of 2021 at the School of Materials Science and Engineering. She is a Tianjin candidate for the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CAST. Under the guidance of Professor Wu Shuilin, she has been working on constructing microwave-responsive composite materials for clinical translational applications to address the current clinical challenges in treating bacterial infections. During her master's and doctoral studies, she has published a total of 20 SCI papers, including 9 as the first author, with a total impact factor of 288.6 and more than 230 citations. During her doctoral studies, she has published 14 SCI papers, with 6 as the first author (all in top journals with an impact factor of over 10), including 1 ESI highly cited paper, 1 cover paper, with a total impact factor of 217.5 and more than 90 citations. She has received the National Scholarship three times, the Baogang Scholarship and Suzhou Yucái Scholarship, nominated for the Star of Self-improvement of Chinese College Students, won the national third prize in the 6th National College Students Renewable Energy Excellent Works Competition, the third prize in the 5th National Antimicrobial Science Forum for excellent posters, the excellent oral presentation award at the Tianjin University Doctoral Student Academic Forum, the first prize in the Tianjin University Microphotography Competition, and has been honored as an outstanding student and excellent student cadre at Tianjin University, among more than 50 awards and honors. She has also accumulated a total of 289 hours of volunteer service.

With four years have passed in the blink of an eye, I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers and classmates at the university for their guidance and assistance. As a doctoral student, I have dedicated myself to tackling clinical challenges and pursuing scientific research for the benefit of my country and the advancement of knowledge. I believe the harder I work, the luckier I get! During my long academic journey, I am extremely honored to have received the National Scholarship. This is an invaluable honor and a great motivation. In the future, I will remain true to my original aspirations, be brave in taking responsibility, and continue to contribute my humble efforts to solving significant scientific and technological challenges for our nation.


 

Personal Introduction:

Zhu Jiamin, a doctoral student in the class of 2021, is under the guidance of Professor Cui Zhenduo. His research direction is two-dimensional material energy storage, focusing on current energy issues. He has published 5 papers in journals such as Chem. Soc. Rev., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Energy Storage Mater., ACS Applied Nano Mater., and Acta Metallurgica Sinica, with a total impact factor of 83. He has also published 3 invention patents, received the title of “Tianjin University Merit Student” and multiple academic scholarships, participated in international conferences such as the "China Materials Conference" and "The 10th International Conference on Advanced Manufacturing Technology and Materials Engineering", and participated in 5 volunteer activities.

Time flies, and the path of scientific research is long and challenging. The guidance of my teachers and the companionship of my classmates are the driving forces that propel me forward on this journey. I am grateful to every member of my research group! The numerous difficulties have honed my tenacious will, and the hard work has watered the joy of success.
